Description of Mate de MADERA CAMIONERO con virola acero inox - mate cup of algarrobo wood with stainless steel ring

This Camionero mate cup made from high-quality algarrobo wood combines traditional craftsmanship with modern durability. The cup impresses with its robust and beautiful wooden structure, which not only ensures durability, but also intensifies the drinking experience with mate tea.
The stainless steel ring adds a modern touch to the authentic and elegant design, making the cup not only aesthetically pleasing but also particularly durable.

While using the mate-cup a discolouration of the wood takes place. This is a natural process which occurs through the absorption of the tea.

Before the first use of the cup it should be "cured" in order to ensure a longer life.

Before first use: Cure your wooden mate cup

1. Grease: Apply a thin layer of butter or neutral-flavoured edible oil to the entire inner surface, including the base.
2. Fill: Add damp, previously used yerba mate, keeping it below the rim. Do not add any extra water.
3. Rest: Leave the cup uncovered for 24 hours, with the opening facing upwards, in a dry, well-ventilated place.
4. Repeat: Replace all the yerba every day. Remove it after a total of two to three days – your cup is ready to use.

Care: Remove the yerba after every use and allow the cup to dry thoroughly with the opening facing upwards. Darker staining inside the cup caused by yerba is normal.
