Cassava starch is made from the tuberous root of the Manioc plant which is native to South America that is extensively cultivated for its edible starchy tuberous root.
In Brazil it is usually cooked in a frying pan with a bit of oil along with onions, bacon, scrambled egg, olives, it goes good with feijão, meat and vegetables.
In the rest of South America it is also very popular. It is eaten as alternative for wheat flour. With Manioc you can cook many dishes such as: soups, sauces, creams, cakes, breads…
